Move over, Chord Overstreet, you may not be playing Chris Colfer's boyfriend after all. According to Entertainment Weekly, actor/singer Darren Criss ("Eastwick," "A Very Potter Musical") is joining the cast, and he may just be the man to sweep Chris' Kurt off his feet.
A source close to the show claims Criss will play Blaine, "a cute and charismatic gay student" from a rival glee club called the Dalton Academy Warblers. While Blaine and Kurt are friendly at first, there is a possibility of something more. As EW put it, "Ryan Murphy is keeping his options open."
So does that mean no more hoping newbie Sam and Kurt will be McKinley High School's "powerful, popular couple" this season? Not necessarily, but like Chris told the mag, "Our writers have a way of avoiding the obvious and throwing curveballs."
